What is Work for Lodgings?
Work for Lodgings is a service to enable volunteers, known as guest-workers, to offer some quantity of work, to people who have a requirement for such work, known as hosts. In return for the work hours provided, the guest-worker receives free accommodation from the host. The Work for Lodgings network connects guest-workers and hosts.
From eldery care or housework to help on the farm or on a boat, volunteer guest-workers are an indispensible aid and provide a support network for many people. For many hosts, having volunteers ready to lend a hand is pivotal in them being able to function or survive.
